About

Meet Sopot with a local

Sopot is where Poland goes on holiday. Wedged between Gdańsk and Gdynia, this small spa town has Europe’s longest wooden pier, a pedestrian street buzzing from morning to midnight, and beaches that fill up all summer long.

But locals know Sopot beyond the promenade — the forest trails, the jazz festival, the quieter northern beach where you can actually hear the waves.

Trovi hosts in Sopot live here year-round and know every side of the city the tourists miss.

Local tips

🍽️

The best seafood is at the small stands near the pier — skip the sit-down restaurants on Monte Cassino.

🚇

SKM train connects Sopot to Gdańsk and Gdynia in under 15 minutes — leave the car at home.

🌙

Sopot has some of the best beach clubs in Poland — Sfinks and Spatif are local favourites.

🎨

Walk through Las Sopocki forest — a huge urban forest right behind the town centre, completely free.

🔒

Sopot is very safe and family-friendly. In summer it gets busy — book accommodation early.
